“Worry is a word I don’t allow myself to use.”
– Dwight Eisenhower
“Most things I worry about never happen anyway.”
– Tom Petty
______
We spend an excessive amount of energy worrying and thinking about stuff we have absolutely no control over. All that effort and stress, wasted!
In times when you find yourself starting to worry, get anxious, and/or panic, be super aware. Stop, if you have them, use your Ascension Attitudes and get present.
Truly tune in: Will worrying help you?
If it does help, then by all means go right ahead. But you'll probably see that worrying is not useful to you. It doesn't help, at all.
You might already know this, but you need to KNOW it.
Worry is only a problem because you've fed it. It's become a habit.
You want to create another habit, and catching worry early is the key.
This is the game, right here.
And it is a game – play, don't get too serious with this ... otherwise you can start beating yourself pretty hard about it.
Try and catch those thoughts that lead to worry early.
Grab that monster when it's a baby and it's so much easier to deal with, and you'll create the habit that means you don't worry about stuff when it doesn't help.
Good luck, and go well!
