The Bright Path Ishayas’ Ascension
Go past the noise of your own mind.
Not managing it. Not observing it.
Going beyond it.
What it is:
The Ishayas' Ascension is for 'rising above' or going beyond the noise, negativity and limitation of the mind. Built around the attitudes of praise, gratitude, love and compassion, it’s taught over a weekend, after which you have everything you need to make a daily practice.
Calling it a meditation method slightly misses the point, because meditation often means sitting still, trying to clear your mind, doing something slightly difficult and disciplined. That’s not what this is.
Ascension is a simple and enjoyable vehicle to a deeper state that means the mind gradually loses its grip on its own, and you find yourself present without trying to be. Your mind keeps doing what minds do. You just stop being dragged around by it, and over time, that becomes your baseline, not a peak state you visit occasionally.
What it isn’t:
Ascension isn’t about becoming passive, because the people who come are active, engaged, and fully in the world. They want want more from life, not less. What changes is the quality of their engagement: less reactive and more present, less driven by fear and more driven by genuine choice. It’s a world of difference.
It isn’t about forcing the mind to stop, it’s actually not about the mind at all. Where many approaches work at this level — using thought to manage thought, using the tool to fix the tool — Ascension takes you beyond the mind. This is so much simpler and why people who’ve tried everything else often find that this is the thing that actually works.
Whoever you are and whatever your life, this isn’t about you having to change your life in any substantial way. It is a practice, simple enough to learn in a weekend and deep enough to last a lifetime, that allows you to shed the handbrake of negative habit, bringing the best of you forward. This means you can become more you, not less. You’ve spent enough time editing yourself or trying to be someone else.
What happens on the weekend
The course usually runs across a Friday (7-9.30pm), Saturday and Sunday (10am-4.30pm).
The time together, the gradual deepening across the weekend, the community of people in the room, the environment you're in ... all of this matters and none of it is incidental. It's not something that can be replicated online.
You'll leave with a practice that is yours — one you can use anywhere, anytime, with your eyes open or closed, in the middle of ordinary life rather than only in ideal conditions.
The weekend is also just the beginning. For those who want to go further, there's an ongoing membership community, advanced techniques given in person one at a time, 1:1 work, as well as advanced weekends and retreats.
The cost is £360, and this means you can repeat for free, anywhere in the world, forever.
Some people like extra 1:1 support in the first few weeks after learning to help embed Ascension into real, actual life. These sessions are available to book after you learn – I'm mentioning it now so you know you're not on your own.
Upcoming weekends:
9 - 11 October
27 - 29 November
We have some BnB rooms at our lovely Georgian venue so you can make a true retreat.

Is this for you?
This work tends to resonate with people who have tried other things: apps, breathwork, therapy, retreats, and found them useful but perhaps incomplete. They feel like there’s more that they’re not quite reaching, something hasn’t quite clicked or lasted.
It’s for people who are living a full life that somehow doesn’t fully nourish them. Not in crisis, not broken at all, just aware that something essential is missing and not sure what it is.
It’s for those who want something real rather than a temporary fix or a coping mechanism. A solid practice they can make theirs. One that holds up on a Tuesday morning rather than only in ideal conditions.
And it’s for people who are prepared to actually do something: to show up, learn a practice, and use it consistently, without looking for a magic pill.
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

What they said:
“I’m no longer afraid of my emotions or thoughts. I’m able to let go of things that would typically run my mind for weeks, so much sooner, and with ease.” — Mia Oldroyd, Physical therapist
“I just feel at peace more. I’m no longer waking up with too much adrenaline. I am facing a big life event this week, but I’m going into it with presence, awareness, and clarity. My default before would have been angst, panic, and terror.” — Nicola Wood, Hair salon business owner and charity founder
“I’ve been able to slow down and enjoy what I have without the constant pressure for the next thing. I’ve finally overcome the shoulds.” — Mel Parker, Gym trainer
“Out of all the things I have tried over the years to aid mindfulness and stress reduction, Ascension is the one that has made the most sense. Never any pressure or preaching — it’s just there to greet you like a warm hug, and accessible any time, anywhere.” — Andy MacDougall, Military
“I’ve tried self-hypnosis, vagus nerve therapy, cold water therapy, breathwork, grounding, nutrition and supplements. All of them helped. But one thing has had more impact than all the others COMBINED: Ascension meditation. Life changing is an understatement… It feels like I’ve been living in the matrix. I’ve been unplugged and I can see how my own thoughts have been the source of my suffering… it’s completely liberating. Freeing.” — Dave Berriman, Bathroom retailer
