Nothing comes easy, or does it?

"Happiness is a habit — cultivate it."

Nothing ever comes easy, otherwise you’d fall into it.

Like continual calm, focus and good humour.

If it were easy, EVERYONE would be like this ALL the time.

Right?

But, actually, could it be possible?

To be permanently present in the Zone, in that state of joyful Zen?

Of course it is –

Regardless of how you are now,

You’ve spent big chunks of your life laughing like a drain,

Taking nothing seriously, so you’re calm and Alive, and supremely settled,

Not swayed, a source of stability, comfort and inspiration to the people around you,

Full of quiet ease, peace and contentment.

Now –

It can be easy to be like this, permanently, when you practice the right things.

“What are the right things?” I hear you ask …

This is the question! Now we’re getting to the heart of the matter.

Let’s see. The right things are:

1). Choose your attitude

Are you focusing on the glass (or life) as being half empty or half full?

2). Find the silver lining

There’s always a silver lining, in any situation, even if it’s a lesson in growth for next time.

3). See how you create your own stress

Stress comes from resistance to what is happening. Don’t resist reality. This is how you end all stress.

4). Be aware of what your mind is telling you

Don’t let the voice in your head be a reality. Let it be an option.

5). Live present in this moment

This is the only moment that you have, in all of time, NOW is it.

6). Choose well

Your life equals your choices. Sometimes you can choose to do different things. Other times you have to choose to do the same things differently. Whatever – choose well!

One important point:

Your habits will be counter to these six things – this is why pure freedom and joy seems to be not so easy to you.

But recognise the more you practice the right things, the more rewards you will experience.

One set of tools that will break through your habits and make these right things second nature is Ascension meditation.

I think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread to experience a life you’re proud of, and excited by.

There really is nothing like having peace of mind and happiness just because.
