One of the biggest sources of trouble anyone has with Ascension or general meditation, is thinking far too much.

Coming to terms with the quantity and/or quality of your thoughts is so important with any practice. Your ability to detach from the mind is key, no matter whats going on.

Once you do that, you can have peace WITH thoughts, and what a pleasant thing that is.

It's not just about the quiet, still, clear, silent moments. 

Beautiful and profound as they are, it's about being in contact with the presence of now in the middle of life itself, in the middle of action:

Walking, talking, working, loving, playing, laughing, dancing, adventuring .... every where and in every moment, presence and stillness makes life rich, full, complete, truly Alive.

Do you find it easier to be kind to people you pass on the street than the people you work with? Do you find it easier to be kind to the people you work with, than the ones you live with?

A huge part of my journey in awareness and mindfulness has come from being more patient and understanding and compassionate with the people in my own house, and I think it’s the same for anyone.
